Mirela Janotti, our ambassador, is a woman who has already overcome very difficult moments and decided to transform adversity into inspiration.
In 2006, recently separated after a 12-year marriage and dismissed from a job as an advertising editor, she discovered a breast cancer at an advanced stage.
“Who will want to date or give a job to a bald woman?” she asked. According to her initial thoughts, if she survived, she would still have to wait for a few years until her life returned to a minimum of normality.
But that’s not what happened. Overcoming each phase, going up step by step, she imposed herself to live a normal life, even facing cancer treatment.
Family, friends, and her own faith helped her overcome the worst moments with a few doses of good mood.
The result: she did find a boyfriend and a job, even being bald. She was a winner and also wrote 3 books and a documentary to help other women. In our campaign, she will pass on messages through videos and texts to women who were diagnosed, as well as to those who do not pay much attention to themselves.
