Will you protect yourself
or go for STIs?

It is obvious that no one in their right mind decides to share their life with a sexually transmitted infection (STI), right? But who said they care about consent?

For STIs, taking the risk is already more than enough… And so it has been with much of Brazil’s youth, since, according to the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), in 10 years, (2009 – 2019), condom use among 9th grade (formerly 8th grade) teenagers fell 13.5%.

No wonder, the incidence of infections such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia has skyrocketed and, according to the Ministry of Health, it is the younger adults (20 to 34 years old) who concentrate most cases (52.9%) of such infections.

Unprotected pleasure can turn into (permanent) damage to your health!

Tense, isn’t it?
Actually, not so much.

After all, what can be more comforting than knowing that the kind of mistake you choose for your life – a conscious turn or an inconsequential slip – depends only on your own decisions?

And speaking of decisions, here are the options available for this very difficult crossroads of yours (contains irony):

Inconsequential Slip

Did you slide into intuition and pay to see what was coming next? So, mind you! Observe your body during personal hygiene – this can help identify an STI at an early stage – and, if you notice any signs or symptoms, immediately seek health care and, when indicated, inform your partner.

Conscious steering

Did you slide to prevention? Enjoy safe, worry-free sex! Besides not having to worry about anything other than the exchange of pleasure, there are many advantages that the condom has to offer you:

The masks have fallen, and the street Carnival is back!

After two years of being orphaned by the traditional street Carnival blocks due to the pandemic, it is natural that the Carnival spirit and the anxiety for the greatest spectacle on Earth are at their peak. But don’t let the euphoria stop you from wearing your most important costume: the condom!

If the subject is prevention, no more relying on intuition

When it’s time for sex, use a condom. And in life, always keep your exams up to date.
