The sun hasn’t gone yet. The day has plenty to offer.
But at home, you just want to stretch your legs on the couch, pop open that cold soft drink along with a package of corn chips.
After all, another day has been won.
The rush now is to get some rest. Is it really?
Your stationary body can be the door to many problems.
Lack of physical activity is one of the factors responsible for these diseases and conditions that can worsen your health over the years:
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Increased risk of Type 2 diabetes
- Accumulation of arterial fat
- Sleep apnea
- Back problems
- Anxiety and depression
- Among others (many others)
And when there is lack of maintenance, hypertension is the one who rushes in for a visit.
Ok. The idea is not to scare you and recommend locking yourself inside your bedroom.
On the contrary. It is precisely questioning what comfort is. And in many cases, a new, simple and cheap interior design of the “Do-It-Yourself” type can do well.
Think of new habits for your habitat.
There is no need to break anything, rebuild, or make plans to move into a mansion.
You can start with some very easy tips to help with the remodeling:
Lubricate the hinges of the joints from time to time by stretching
Keep the vessels hydrated by drinking plenty of water every day
Take care of the flora by opting for fibrous foods
Keep your walls healthy by sunbathing before 10am and after 4pm
Be active, practicing physical activities for 30 minutes/day, 5 times/week, to keep the whole structure always preserved
Avoid ultra-processed foods so as not to contaminate your garden
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables and go easy on the red meat
Keep monitoring yourself with check-ups always up to date
And move furniture around in the rooms to get out of your comfort zone
Practice physical activities wherever possible, within your own time
Read, play, joke around to keep your mental health healthy
Grow a vegetable garden at home to attract good things
Read the labels before letting food into your home
Cook more often and see how much more delicious your self-made dishes are (if not, keep trying!)
Do not smoke (believe it – it’s very difficult to clean a chimney)
Keep away from alcohol (it can be the gateway to other evils)
Take a shower listening to music
Practice meditation (just close your eyes and enjoy the moment)
Sleep from 6 to 8 hours every night
Be happy in every space within yourself.
More important than anything else when you see your body as a home is:
It doesn’t matter what your home looks like.
It doesn’t matter how much space it takes up.
It doesn’t matter how the other homes are.
The most important thing is for you to be happy and healthy from within.
Throughout your life you will redecorate some environments, live and relive new experiences and, in the midst of all this, keep happy memories. That’s why it’s worth taking such good care of yourself.
Your best look is always waiting for you.
