Until 1990, homosexuality was considered a disease by the World Health Organization. In some countries, punishment even included the death sentence.

Observe to
RESPECT

The word respect comes from the Latin respectus, meaning the action of looking back or away.

The etymology of the term implies the idea of observation from a distance. In other words, a perspective in which you let the other person act and you just observe them, without interfering.

Take a look at the acronym
LGBTQIAPN+

Note the difference
BETWEEN

Gender
Identity

It’s the gender
you identify with

Man | Woman | Non-binary
Sexual
Orientation

Who you’re
attracted to

Pan | Homo | Bi | Straight
Biological
Sex

Genitals and chromosomes
you were born with

Male | Female | Intersex

Note that some people simply can’t be who they are

It affects professional life, as many LGBTQIAPN+ people turn to prostitution because they can’t get a job, even having good qualifications (as is the case with most transvestites).

And it affects life, since prejudice kills. Slowly and suddenly.

Did you know that it was only in 2019 that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of criminalizing LGBTphobia?

Observe to
RESPECT

A crucial part of respect is undoubtedly looking at ourselves. Looking at our traumas and insecurities and analyzing whether we are channeling personal issues negatively into the world.

By observing our own thoughts, emotions and behavior, we gain a deeper understanding of who we are. And this helps us to recognize our own weaknesses, allowing us to be more understanding of the experiences and views of others.
